Explanation: in periodic table  first 2 groups are called s-block elements.

gp.13 to 18 are p-block elements, gp.3 to 12 are d-block elements or transition elements and elements from atomic no. 57 to 71 and 89 to 103 are f-block elements also inner transition elements.
