satyagrah was a combination of two different word i.e satya and agrah where satya means truth and agrah means insistence. it was a particular form of non violent resistance or civil resistance . someone who participate satyagrah was called satyagrahi.

the term satyagrah was coined and developed by Mahatma Gandhi .

first satyagrah was startedin South Africa by Mahatma Gandhi.
