Salts are ionic compounds that contain two groups of positively charged ions (H+) and negatively charged ions (OH-). In chemistry, salt is produced when acids and bases are combined together in equal proportions. Whereas naturally, salt is found in sea water.

a salt is a product of acid and base.it may be neutral, acidic and basic depending on the concentration of H+ions or OH+ions..the substances which are a product of strong acids and bases are called neutral substances.
