A solution is a liquid mixture in which the minor component (the solute) is uniformly distributed within the major component (the solvent).

If solute dissolves until it is unable to dissolve anymore, then the solution is said to be a saturated solution. Any solute added after this point stays undissolved.

A solution that has less solute dissolved than its saturation concentration is said to be an unsaturated solution. Any solutes added into this solution completely dissolves.

A solution that contains more solute than the solvent can dissolve under normal circumstance is known as a supersaturated solution. In this point, solute concentration of the solution is more than saturation concentration at normal condition.

saturated solution :
a saturated solution is a chemical solution containing the maximum concentration of a solute dissolved in the solvent. the additional solute will not dissolve in a saturated solution.

unsaturated solution :
an unsaturated solution is a chemical solution in which the solute concentration is lower than its equilibrium solubility. all of the solute dissolves in the solvent.

super saturated solution :
these solutions are very unstable and the solute will readily fall out of the solution if disturbed. as it does this, the crystals can form, releasing heat in this process.
