Answer:

It is the physical quantity that can be described by a single element of a number field such as real number . Scalar quantity has magnitude and a vector quantity has both magnitude as well as direction . Examples of scalar are mass ,density ,length ,speed etc

And of vector quantity are displacement, velocity, acceleration etc

The physical quantities which require only magnitude to be completely described are called scalar quantity.

For example:

⏺️Length, etc.

Vector Quantity:

Physical quantities which have both magnitude and direction are called vector Quantity.

For example:

⏺️Force

⏺️Velocity

⏺️displacement, etc.
