scalar quantities are thase quantities which do not have direction or magnitude such as speed and distance.

vector quantities are those quantities which have some direction and magnitude such as velocity and displacement.

scalar quantities are always positive or zero but vector quantities can be positive, negative or zero

scalar quantity is the quantity which have only the magnitude like mass,distance etc.

this quantity is always positive.

and vector quantity are the quantity which have both magnitude and direction like weight,displacement etc.

this quantity can be negative, positive or zero.
