scalar quantity =is that quantity one dimensional measurement of a quantity, like temperature, or mass. A vector has more than one number associated with it. one dimensional measurement of a quantity, like temperature, or mass. A vector has more than one number associated with it.

vector quantity = is that quantityThe quantity is either a vector or a scalar. These two categories can be distinguished from one another by their distinct definitions: Scalars arequantities that are fully described by a magnitude (or numerical value) alone.Vectors are quantities that are fully described by both a magnitude and a direction.

Hello Dear !  _____________________________

Q1. What is Scalar quantity ?

A1. These are the physical quantities which constitute of only magnitude and has no direction . Such physical quantities are called scalar quantity .

Ex : The distance between two points (distance) , temperature of a body (temperature) , mass of an object (mass) , pressure , current , etc .

Q2. What is Vector quantity ?

A1. these are the physical quantity that constitutes of both magnitude and direction , such physical quantities are known as vector quantity .

 Ex - Displacement , velocity , acceleration , force , momentum , impulse , current density , etc .
