The product of two vectors which gives scalar quantity is called scalar product of vectors.

=> Scalar product of two vectors A⃗⃗ and B⃗ is represented as A⃗ .B⃗ = AB cosθ

=> It is also called dot product.

=> Scalar product of two perpendicular vectors is zero.
