• Scam is an activity, usually done through the phone but more commonly the internet, where one person tries to gain money and/or information from another.

• They of course use subterfuge to obtain these things, often through elaborate stories. A person’s emotion and trust is used against them in a very painful way.

• These scammers do this as a business, illegal and immoral may it be. They fleece you and move on to their next victim.
