Scientific forestry refers to the systematic planting of trees and its effective management. Natural forests with a variety of trees were uprooted and a particular tree species is planted in whole area to obtain a plantation. And this is done gradually year after year to cover maximum available area. Eg. Teaplantations of Assam, Coffee plantations of Karnataka, Rubber and Teak plantations, etc.
