▶Sclera➙ The dense connective tissue of the eyeball that forms the white of the eye.

❖ It provides a sturdy attachment for the extraocular muscles that control the movement of the eyes.

❖ A clear & delicate membrane called the conjunctiva covers the sclera.

❖ It is separated from the cornea by the corneal limbus.

❖ It is covered by the conjunctiva a clear mucus membrane that helps lubricate the eye.

❖ It forms the supporting wall of the eyeball & is continuous with the clear cornea.

❖ It is protective layer inside it holds the Vitreous, Choroid & Retina.
