Physics is about study of physical (appearance, color, shape, properties) of matter at large and at microscopic level too.  Physics is also the study of the universe, planets, stars etc.   Physics is about study of laws that govern matter in all forms.

After studying physics, one can choose many careers like astronomy, astro physics, geology, electrical engineering, scientist, material scientist, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, civil engg etc.

The source and foundation for the electronics are the semiconductor materials.  Formulation of these semiconductors is based on Physics.  The telecommunications of electronic signals is based on Physics principles.  The nano-technology principles are also based on Physics.

Explanation:

The Scope of Physics Physics is the study of energy, matter, and their interactions. It's a very broad field because it is concerned with matter and energy at all levels—from the most fundamental particles of matter to the entire universe. Some people would even argue that physics is the study of everything!
