what is scopolamine? can someone please explain it in a simple way?

It is used as a medicine to treat motion sickness and vomiting.It is also Called as 'hyoscine'.A also used before surgery to decrease saliva.There are some side effects like' dry mouth,sleepiness,blurred vision etc.
It came in use in 1947 and was found in 1881.

Scopolamine is a medicine which is also known as Hyoscine which is used to treat motion sickness  , nausea  , sea sickness , vomiting.It is the most effective and safe medicines needed in a health system. The plants of the nightshade family are used to produce Hyoscine.

Meaning of certain terms used -

Motion sickness -  a very common disturbance of the inner ear that is caused by repeated motion such as  the movement of a car / a plane.It is also known as travel sickness.
Nausea - it is a feeling of sickness with an inclination to vomit
