A secondary pollutant is not directly emitted from a source, but forms when other pollutants (primary pollutants) react in the atmosphere.

when pollutants in the air mix up in a chemical reaction,they form as even more dangerous chemical. photochemical smog is an example of this,& is a secondary pollutants...
for examples : OZONE.....
