A secular state is the one which do not have any official religion. It gives importance to every religion. While a theocratic state has a official religion.

For e.g., India as a secular state because none of the religion is considered as official.

Middle East Gulf countries as theocratic state as the official religion of most of the middle east Gulf countries is Islam.
