Secularism:
- Secularism is a policy which supports all religions equally.
- Gandhiji said, "Morals and Ethics drawn from religion should guide politics. "
- By the term "religion", he didn't mean any perticular religion like Hinduism or Islam. He wanted to emphasise on the values that each religion teaches us
- India is a secular country.
- A secular country is the one which allow individuals to practice, profess any religion or not to follow any.
- A secular country don't give the status of State religion to any of the community.
- The constitution of India and other secular country gives right to it's citizens to follow any religion of their choice.
- There is no partiality in terms of religion in secularism.
- It helps to protect the interest of all religious community.
- The political leaders though can intervene the religious matter to ensure equality within each religious community.
