Secularism:-

It separates religion from the country. Secularism means non- interference of religion in matters that are related to politics, society, education etc.

A secular country do not encourage any religious instruction in government- run offices. The word secularism was included by the amendment to the Constitution in 1976. As respective to Indian constitution, citizens are free to practice and choose any religion of their choice. According to secularism the state adopts an impartial attitude towards all religions.

Secularism focus on basic points:-

  • They check superiority of any religion over another religion.
  • Check behaviour of some people of different religion over another people of vary religion.
  • The state cannot enforce any religion to take religious freedom or admire of any person.
