Hi students! Here is your answer.

The separation of religion power from the power of the state is known as secularism. India is known as a secular state because there are many types of diversities present. India has many religious groups within the population, the Muslims, Hindus, Christians, Parsis, Buddhists, etc. so, to support only one religion can create disturbance, that is why India is known as a secular state.
