Secularism is a system that rejects religion, and believes that the religion is not a part of the affairs of the State or public education.

With the 42nd Ammendment of the Indian Constitution, the Preamble laid that India is a secular nation.

According to this, all Indians are free to practice any religion and there will be no discrimination on the basis of religion.

Explanation:

The Indian constitution allows each and every citizen of india, the freedom to live by his/her religious beliefs and practices as they interpret them.

India is the birthplace of many religions. The state does not interfere in the religious matters nor does it discriminate against the followers of a particular religion. The constitutional experts had clearly observed the examples of various countries of the world where discrimination and persecution were done on the basis of relegion.
