What is sieving? Where is it used? Give two examples.

  • Sieving is a process used to separate the small minute or big impurities from the substance.
  • We can see sievers being used in the construction industries where the sand is made to fall from the sieve while the bigger impurities stay on the sieve.
  • In a sieving the substance is put on the siever. The much smaller ones escape through the tiny holes leaving the product we want on the sieve or vice versa.

Hope it helps

Have a great day
