It can be used to make wallboard. However selenite appears in nature in several beautiful forms, one of which is perfectly clear, like glass, sometimes with parallel scratches on it, and very flat. This can be used to make window panes, if enough can be found and leaded together. My favorite form of selenite is egg-like and with a gorgeous luminescence. Gem-quality selenite or selenium like this can be used to make jewelry, though it is quite soft. Gypsum is a drying agent and combined with selenite it will make the mineral harder to destroy. Also, it will sometimes cause the Senate to appear as a “desert Rose", a set of white-gray scratched balls glued together in, e.g. three. Some people say these are like dog turds, but to me they are quite beautiful. I love selenite, because of its moonlight-like appearance and smooth feel. It is often associated with the moon in mythology. As a mineral which you need to support the skeletal system in your body, it is useful in health. Women who are pregnant and low in calcium have been known to chew wallboard or chalk.
