whereas a predicate (what is said about the subject)

example - He is guitarist and he can sing well too.

*here the word "He " is the subject whereas "is guitarist and can sing well too." is the predicate

> A sentence means a group of words that makes complete sense. It begins with a capital letter and ends with a full stop. It always contains a finite verb. A sentence may be a statement, question, exclamation or command. It consists of a main clause and one or more subordinate clauses. A sentence may be short and simple or long.

For example: She is sleeping in her couch. ️

A sentence should always have the first letter of the sentence as capital whether it is a question of a normal sentence. ( which contains a full stop at the end , the sign is -" ." )

Q. Types of sentences.

Remember there are 4 types of sentence.

i. Assertive or declarative sentence - a statement

e.g - The police is trying to catch the thief.

ii. Imperative sentence- a command or a request

e.g- Can you please close the door.

iii. Interrogative sentence - a question ❓.

e.g - what is your name ?

iv . Exclamatory sentence - a sentence with an exclamation mark, a sentence containing a feeling or an expression.

e.g- i can't believe it is going to happen!
