Synchronous serial communication describes a serial communication protocol in which "data is sent in a continuous stream at constant rate." ... For this reason "synchronous communication permits more information to be passed over a circuit per unit time" than
asynchronous serial communication.

Synchronous means working together at the same time, and in the online learning world, chat rooms and online conferences are good examples of synchronous communication.

Asynchronous transmission is the transmission of data in which each character is a self-contained unit with its own start and stop bits and an uneven interval between them. Asynchronous transmission is also referred to as start/stop transmission

☺ Hope this will help you.

It is the way in which data bits travels over a single wire on direction is refer to the serial data transmission.

Synchronous -It is a method in which  a continuous stream of data signals is accompanied by timing signals .

Asynchronous-It is a method in which transmitted data is encoded with start and stop bits, specifying the beginning and end of each character.
