Answers
Hi,
Here is your answer,
First part of your question ( Q.1 What is a set ? )
Answer. Set is a collection of well defined objects which are distinct from each other. Sets are usually denoted by capital letters A,B,C,......... and elements are usually denoted by small letters a , b , c ..........
If α is an element of a set A, then we write α ∈ A and say α belongs to A or α is in A or α is a member of A. If α does not belong to A, we write it as α ∉ A.
I hope you have understood what is a set.
Second part of your question. ( Q.2 What is a subset ? )
Answer. Well, Subset is also knows as Superset. So let us consider A and B be two sets. If every element of A is an element of B, then A is called subset of B and B is called superset of A.
A ⊆ B (OR) B ⊇ A
I hope you have understood what is a Subset.
Third part of your question ( What is a Venn Diagram ? )
Answer. So in a Venn diagram the universal set is represented by a rectangular region and a set is represented by circle or a closed geometrical figure insider the universal set.
I hope you have understood what is a Venn's Diagram.
