According to cencus 2011 ,india had 940 females per 1000 male. In the state like haryana and and union terratory like Dio and Daman ,condition is still more poor .According to WHO , india is on alarming zone for low sex ratio.

People in india think that having perferance for male baby is main cause of low sex ratio even without abortion. Even some days before even I believe so. Means if couples want male child and if they have male child for first time, then they stop but if they have female child then they go for another one.

But wait a minute,is it a only factor? The answer is big no. Let's understand by example. If there is 100 couple and all want male child. According to nature's law 50 got male babies and 50 got female babies. The couple with 50 male babies stop and couple for 50 female babies go for another pregnancy. But again 50 couple with female babies for first time, will not all have male babies in second time. According to nature's lawthis time also 25 got male babies and 25 got female baby. So , finally there is 75 male baby and 75 female babies. So,no difference at all.

Then what is are the caused of low sex ratio?

Main reason for low sex ratio is a sex determination followed by abortion. So if government put even more tight control on sex determination and abortion, then condition will definitely improve.

Second is infanticide. It is still there in some part of tribal india. Even if the girl child born, then they kill girl child.

Domestic violence, dowry death and also less attention on females medical illness as compare to male is also a factrors for low sex ratio.

Lastly I want to finish my answer with Sanskrit line which state that , “yatra Naryasta pujyante, ramyante tatra devta.” which means, place where respect is givento female, only that place God stays.
hope helps you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
