it means that you have enough knowledge for whatever task is asked of you. This is opposed to “You are intelligent enough.” which means you have an IQ suitable for the task. These two mean different things since smart means knowledge and intelligent means ability. They can co-exists and usually do in intelligent people. However, you can be knowledgeable (smart) but have an average IQ.
