Answer:

I hope it helps you.

Explanation:

There are 2 types of shearing in science ,

One term is used in physical science and one in biological science.

Shearing (physics):-

Shearing in continuum mechanics refers to the occurrence of a shear strain, which is a deformation of a material substance in which parallel internal surfaces slide past one another. It is induced by a shear stress in the material.

Shearing (biology):-

Shearing is the process whereby the sheep's fleece (wool) is removed using mechanical shears called 'handpieces'. For sheep breeds that are specifically grown for wool production, the fleece needs to be removed regularly because it grows continuously.

Answer:

1) The process of shaving off the fleece (wool) along with a thin layer of skin from the sheep’s body is known as shearing.

2) This process is then followed by scouring in which the wool is cleaned in big tank with warm water and detergent.

3) After this, the yarn of different texture, sizes and shapes are sorted out in different heaps. This process is known as sorting. This must be done with care as the sorter, the one who sorts the threads, may suffer from a disease known as sorter’s disease, which is a form of anthrax.

4) Then the fibers are dyed in different colours to make it look attractive. This is known as dyeing.

5) Then in the end, the fibers are properly combed and then spun together to make fabrics. This process is collectively known as spinning.
