Slash and Burn agriculture in Eastern and Western India is called shifting agriculture.
In brief, when the people go at any place where trees and other types of grasses are burnt and then grow crops on that land and after some years when the fertality of land go down then they left the land and go to a new place......
This was banned by volonial power because these people cut trees for agriculture and other type of grasses......
............. PLEASE MARK AS BRAIN LIST..............
