Answer:

Shifting Agriculture-

A type of agriculture in which the forest land is cleared by farmers for growing crops is known as shifting agriculture. The crops are usually grown for 2-3 years on a particular land and then when the fertility of soil decreases, farmers shift to other lands. In this type of agriculture, the land productivity remains low.It is known by different names in different parts.Such as in north eastern states of India,it is known as jhumming.

Disadvantages-

1.It leads to deforestation.

2.The land yield on per hectare is very low.
