Answer :

Shifting cultivation is the form of agriculture in which farmers choose different crops to grow in one field. They cultivate different types of crops in a particular season. The main form of shifting cultivation is when farmers grow leguminous plants and pulses in between rice, wheat, and maize. Doing this also enriches the soil with it's required and sufficient nutrients. Whereas on the contrary if we sow the same kind of crops on the same piece of land, again and again, we will experience less output eventually and it will keep on decreasing. To manage this whole system we use the shifting cultivation method and some people also do use the slash and burn form of agriculture in which they sow their crops and later on burn the leftovers in the field later on plow the field and then again use it for the cultivation of their crops.
