What is shifting cultivation.What are its advantages

Shifting agriculture is common in the hilly and forested regions.This include slash and burn method,in which a part of a forested area is cleared by cutting and burning tress and the cleared land is cultivated until the fertility of the soil is exhausted.

Advantages of shifting agriculture:-

It provide the very easy and very fast method of the preparation of the land for the agriculture.
