Hey mate....

Here's the answer of your question...

A plot of land is cleared by feeling the trees and burning them. The ashes are then mixed with the soil and crops like maize, yam, potatoes and cassava are grown. When the soil losses its fertility, the land is abandoned and the cultivator moves to a new plot. Shifting cultivation is also known as 'slash and burn' agriculture.

Hope it helped you....

✳️Shifting Cultivation✳️

▶️In this type of agriculture, first of all a piece of forest land is cleared by felling trees and burning of trunks and branches. After the land is cleared, crops are grown for 2 to 3 years and then the land is abandoned as the fertility of the soil decreases. The farmers then go to new areas and the process is repeated.

▶️ Dry paddy, maize, millets and vegetables are the crops commonly grown .

✳️Disadvantages Of Shifting Cultivation✳️
