Short circuiting means when live wire and neutral wire come in direct contact. This cause sparkling and very high supply of current which can increase the temperature of circuit and damages the electrical appliances connected with the circuit so fuse has low melting point. When there is supply of high current accidentally then fuse wire melts and breaks the circuit thus current can't flow in the circuit.

A short circuit is an problem in an electrical circuit where two or more wires that are not supposed to come in contact with each other touch. A short circuit can result in a very high flow of current through a circuit. A short circuit also happens when there is a bypass of electrical current.

An electrical fuse works by breaking the circuit when there is a fault in an appliance that causes too much current to flow. The wire within the circuit melts due to the heat generated when the current going through the circuit when it is an excess flow of electricity. A fuse is simply a thin piece of wire in the circuit, composed by tin or by the alloy of copper and tin.
