Answer:

Actually neither are official SI units — neither of the two “gallons”, imperial or US the units of length are organized in units of 1000, one metre is subdivided into 1000 milimetres and i kilometre is 1000 metres. A centimetre as 10 mm and one hundredth of a metre is related to SI units of length, but it is not SI. However it is useful when I’m doing woodwork which is more than I can for whatever “gallon”.CM Each centimeter contains 10 millimeters. The base unit of volume in the SI system is the cubic meter (m3).
