rivalry means competition
sibling rivalry as a whole means competition between siblings.This can be between siblings that maybe blood related or not .
this can have various reasons associated with it .
examples.
jhon is angry over his sister Anna because she is smarter and more loved by their parents.
or
Anna is jealous of her brother Jhon because he is taller then her.
here It is not necessary that the fight(rivalry) should be for an appropriate reason it can even be for simple reasons like share of things(example chocolate) ,more appreciation to other sibling (brother or sister) etc.
this is a topic of concern to parents as no parent Will want their kids to fight .
