Krebs cycle plays a very important role in metabolism and energy production as it performs the oxidation of fatty acids, glucose and few amino acids.
Among all the stages of cellular respiration, this is the second stage. After the oxidations of those energy fuels Adenosine Triphosphate is produced that acts as an energy hub.
The energy thus provided by ATP, helps to perform various bodily activities. ADP and Pi produces the ATP with the help of electrons in the Krebs cycle.
