sin15 = 0.2588 (if the 15 is degrees)
sin15 = 0.6503 (if the 15 is radians)

Anonymous: 45 - 30 = 15 so sin(15) = sin(45 - 30).

Using the difference identity;
sin(a - b) = sin(a)cos(b) - sin(b)cos(a)
sin(45 - 30) = sin(45) cos(30) - sin(30) cos(45)
= (sqrt(2) / 2) (sqrt(3) / 2) - (1 / 2) (sqrt(2) / 2)
= sqrt(6) / 4 - sqrt(2) / 4
= [sqrt(6) - sqrt(2)] / 4

Sin15 =sin(45-30)
=sin45cos30-sin30cos45
=1/root2*root3/2 -1/2 *1/ root2
=(root3-1)/(2root2)

mysticd: ur welcome
