The red dust of the Scirocco combined with rain means you have to spend 2 days re-cleaning the boat you just prepared for charter, including sending crew up the rig to completely clean the mast and rigging.

The Mistral means that you have to stay tied to the dock in St Tropez or Porto Cervo for 3 days while your guests go stir crazy because all the beach clubs are closed or they literally get sand in their sandwiches.

Alternatively you take your boss who loves sailing out for a blast and everyone has fun. The trick is to leave the nervous sailors in a nice restaurant and make sure you stay in flat water with very limited fetch. (e.g. The Porquerolles)
