Skin grafting is transplantation of skin. In this process, skin is placed across the burn or wound's which cannot be healed. 

In this process a tissue involves known as graft tissue. To replace the skin which is damaged or missing, skin graft is used. This tissue provide skin the temporary covering. This covering is also very important because it is only the thing which helps in prevention of disease, maintaining the temperature of the body.

There are mainly two types of skin grafts.
1. Split - thickness grafts
2.  Full - thickness grafts

Skin grafting is a surgical procedure that involves removing skin from one area of the body and moving it, or transplanting it, to a different area of the body. This surgery may be done if a part of your body has lost its protective covering of skin due to burns, injury, or illness.
