Quick lime is calcium oxide (CaO)

  Slaked lime is calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2).

When water and quick lime is added in a beaker then the product  formed is called Slaked lime which is Calcium hydroxide

Ca (OH)_{2} .

During the formation  of slaked lime the equation of the reaction is given below :-

CaO (s) + H_{2}O  (l)\  -> Ca (OH)_{2}  (aq)
