  • This is an age old practice that has been done by farmers for cultivation of new crops by cutting the previous crop or trees that were present in the area.
  • And then burning of all the remaining plants present in land which turns the land into a barren field after it is burnt.
  • The field is now left with ashes of the previous crop that had been cultivated which acts as a nutrient rich land which is now ready for cultivation of next crop this method is also known as slash and Burn agriculture and has been in practice since ages.  
  • The burning of the remaining crops results in the effecting of ecosystem and it is difficult to survive in that environment.
