sliding friction as the name suggest is the resistance created by two objects that slide against each other.
To make it simpler to understand you must have a look at all these everyday sliding friction examples-
--rubbing both hands to create heat (heat is generated when both the hands slide over each other)
--a person sliding down a slide
--a block being slid across the floor
