3. Only third estate was paying the taxes.

4. The economic condition of third estate was miserable.

5. Luxorious life of the first and second estate had drined the financial resources of France.

6. King Louis XVI decided to impose more taxes on third estate.

7. The demand of the third estate general for one member one vote was refused or rejected by the king.

8. Moreover a rumour spread that king had sent troops to fire on the citizens.
