Socialism is a political and economic theory organisation which advocate that the means of production,distribution and exchange  should be owned or regulated by a community as a whole.As a political ideology sociology arose largely  in response to the economical and social consequence of the industrial revolution.

It was realised that the appalling toll on human rights  that have resulted from unregulated industrial growth.In addition workers were also subjected to the change brought by the machine.Introduction of the new technology in work place invariably meant the displacement of labourers.
