A soda-acid extinguisher was patented in the U.S. in 1881 by Almon M. Granger. Hisextinguisher used the reaction between sodium bicarbonate solution and sulfuric acidto expel pressurized water onto a fire. A vial of concentrated sulfuric acid was suspended in the cylinder.

Soda-acid extinguisher contains sodium hyrogencarbonate or baking soda which extinguishes fire.

sanjay8888: please try to tell how it works
MitaliRampal: Sorry, but I have not read much about that which is the reason for my limited answer.
