This refer to the top part of the earth . This is where plants grow and where both living and nonliving organisms remain. There different types of soils
sandy soil
this is a type of soil which has largest particles in it compared to all other types soils. This types of soild does not retain water for a long period of time and this makes it to be rough when you touch it . the reason why sandy soil can not retain water for a long period of time is because it has larges spaces in between it.
clay soil
This is the type of soil best in retaining water. Clay is usually sticky when its wet. when it dries it becomes smooth and hard to break it.
