Soil erosion is the displacement of the upper layer of soil, one form of soil degradation. This natural process is caused by the dynamic activity of erosive agents, that is, water, ice (glaciers), snow, air (wind), plants, animals, and humans.

There are four main types of soil erosion:-

1. Splash erosion
2. Sheet erosion
3. Gully erosion
4. Rill erosion

Cause of soil erosion:-
it is caused by factors such as:-
1. water
2. wind
3. tillage of farm fields

Effects of soil erosion:-
the effect of soil erosion can be felt on site, meaning at the site of soil disruption, because soil quality is reduced.
