The removal of top layer of the Soil due to any external factor is called as soil erosion.

The factors affecting soil erosion are :-

3. Over grazing

4. Quality of soil

5. Heavy rainfall

ways to prevent soil erosion:-

1. Afforestation

2. Building dams to control flood

3. Good quality of soil

4. Terrace farming

5. Improve drainage

The removal of top most layer (which is very fertile and suitable for growing plants, it ha humus) is called soil erosion.

 

Soil erosion occurs as there is nothing to hold the soil. Occurs due to deforestation[deforestation means cutting down of trees, opposite of afforestation(planting trees)].

 

Ways To Prevent Soil Erosion :-

 

Afforestation : Planting more and more trees, so that the roots of the plants will hold the soil and prevent from being eroded.

Checking overgrazing of animals : have a look on animals so that they do not over gaze the field, which will prevent the field from being no plants.
