Answer:

soil erosion occurs when the fertile upper layer of soil(hummus) gets washed away by wind, water, ice, animals, human beings.

prevention:

  • planting more trees as their roots hold the soil in place.(aka afforestation)
  • you can also place rocks and stones so that the soil doesn't get eroded.
  • practice terrace farming if possible.

Answer:

Soil Erosion :-

The removal of top most layer (which is very fertile and suitable for growing plants, it ha humus) is called soil erosion.

Soil erosion occurs as there is nothing to hold the soil. Occurs due to deforestation[deforestation means cutting down of trees, opposite of afforestation(planting trees)].

Ways To Prevent Soil Erosion :-

Afforestation : Planting more and more trees, so that the roots of the plants will hold the soil and prevent from being eroded.

Checking overgrazing of animals : have a look on animals so that they do not over gaze the field, which will prevent the field from being no plants.
