Answer:-

The ability of soil to supply all the essential plant nutrients to a crop inadequate quantity is called soil fertility. Repeated growing of crops in the same soil removes the various nutrients elements from it due to which the soil loses its fertility.

Fertility can be replenished by the following methods:-

  • By keeping the field follow for one or two seasons.
  • By putting manure and fertilizers in the soil.
  • By practicing crop rotation method.
  • By practicing multiple cropping which is also known as mixed cropping.
